Every UAE business has a process no standard software anticipates — free-zone documentation, a trade-specific approval chain, a multi-emirate branch rule. Low-code platforms let you build for those without a development budget. They also let you build a maintenance problem, so the decision deserves some care.
When low-code is the right answer
- The process is genuinely specific to you — not something a standard tool does that you have not looked for.
- It is currently a spreadsheet — passed around by email, with no audit trail.
- The rules are stable — building against a process that changes monthly is wasted effort.
- Someone will own it — an app with no owner becomes an outage nobody can fix.
The options
Zoho Creator builds custom applications with forms, workflows, reports and mobile access, without conventional coding. It suits internal tools — approvals, inspections, asset registers, site reports.
Zoho Flow handles integration rather than app building: connecting systems so an event in one triggers an action in another.
Qntrl focuses on structured workflow orchestration for processes that cross departments, and Zoho Tables is the lighter option when you need shared structured data rather than an application.

The trap
Low-code makes it easy to build things, which makes it easy to build too many. A company with fifteen small apps nobody documented is worse off than one with a spreadsheet, because at least the spreadsheet is legible. Build few, document them, and name an owner for each before you start.
