How do I extract certain pages from a PDF?
Load your PDF, choose "Extract page range", and type the pages you want such as 1-3, 5, 8-10. The tool builds a new PDF containing only those pages, in the order you list them, ready to download. It is the fastest way to pull a single section out of a long document.
Can I split a PDF into separate single-page files?
Yes. Choose "Split into single pages" and the tool creates one PDF for each page of the document, downloading them individually. This is useful when every page needs to go to a different place, such as separating a batch of scanned forms.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. Splitting happens entirely inside your browser using the pdf-lib engine, so your document is never uploaded or stored on a server. Confidential files such as contracts, statements and identity documents stay private on your device.
How do I write the page range?
Use commas to separate pages and a hyphen for a range. For example, 2-4 gives pages 2, 3 and 4; 1, 5, 9 gives just those three pages; and 3-5, 8 combines a range with a single page. Pages that are out of range are simply ignored, and you can list them in any order you want them to appear.
Does splitting reduce quality or lose text?
No. The extracted pages are copied exactly as they are, so text remains selectable and images keep their original resolution. The tool does not re-render or compress pages; it only copies the ones you choose into a new file.
What if my PDF is password-protected?
A protected PDF usually needs to be unlocked first, because the tool cannot open an encrypted file. Remove the password in your PDF reader, save an unprotected copy, and use that copy here. If a file fails to load, an encryption or corruption issue is the most likely cause.
