About this experience
Dinner in the Sky seats you at a single table suspended from a crane fifty metres above the ground, harnessed into a chair that swivels, with chefs working at a station in the centre of the platform.
The food is a set multi-course menu, served at altitude, and it is respectable — but the meal is not really the point. The point is sitting with your feet hanging over Dubai while the sun goes down. Sessions run around an hour to ninety minutes and there is no way down mid-service, which is worth thinking about.
Book the sunset slot if you can. It costs more and sells out first, and it is the only version that delivers what the photographs promise.
