About this experience
The Palm Monorail runs 5.4km from Gateway Towers at the base of Palm Jumeirah to Atlantis at the crescent, elevated the whole way. The ride takes about fifteen minutes and gives you an elevated view along the trunk, over the fronds and out to the Gulf, with Atlantis growing ahead of you.
It is not an attraction in its own right so much as a pleasant way to reach one. If you are going to Atlantis, Aquaventure, The Pointe or The View at the Palm anyway, taking the monorail instead of a taxi turns the transfer into something worth doing. If you are not going to the crescent for any other reason, it is a fifteen-minute ride each way to look at things.
Sit on the right heading out for the better skyline angle. Sunset is the best time and the trains are least busy mid-morning on weekdays.
