Quad Biking & Dune Buggies in Dubai

The quad ride bundled into a standard desert safari is usually 20 minutes on a flat marked loop near the camp — fine as a taster, but not the reason to book. A dedicated quad or buggy tour is a different thing: 45 minutes to a couple of hours, a guide leading you into open dune terrain, and machines with enough power to climb properly.

Quads are ridden like a motorbike, straddled, one person per machine, and are the cheaper option. Dune buggies are enclosed roll-caged cars with a steering wheel and seatbelts, seat one or two, and handle steep dunes far better — they cost more but are considerably more capable and more comfortable in the heat.
