About Fatima College of Health Sciences
Fatima College of Health Sciences (FCHS) was founded in 2006 by the Abu Dhabi Government to help meet the UAE's growing need for skilled healthcare professionals. The college is named in honour of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Al Ketbi, Mother of the United Arab Emirates, and began by offering a single Bachelor of Science in Nursing programme, delivered in collaboration with Griffith University in Australia.
Following rising demand for allied healthcare workers, FCHS expanded in 2011 to add Bachelor's degrees in Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Radiography and Medical Imaging, and Emergency Health (Paramedics), later adding Psychology in 2019 and Midwifery in 2022. The college now operates from its main campus in Mafraq, Abu Dhabi, with additional campuses in Al Ain, Ajman, and Al Dhafra, serving several hundred students across its programmes.
FCHS programmes are licensed by the UAE Ministry of Education and accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation, with graduates supported into employment through a partnership with SEHA (Abu Dhabi Health Services Company) and the UAE Ministry of Health. The college places strong emphasis on clinical placements and evidence-based practice, preparing Emirati graduates for careers across the UAE's hospitals and healthcare facilities.
