About Swiss International Scientific School Dubai
Swiss International Scientific School Dubai (SISD) was founded in 2015 by Omar Danial, a Swiss businessman and graduate of Collège du Léman in Switzerland, alongside a group of Swiss and Emirati investors, with a reported initial investment of AED 600 million. SISD opened on the banks of Dubai Creek in Al Jaddaf with just 250 students, envisioned as the region's first large-scale, truly bilingual IB continuum school rooted in Swiss educational values.
SISD now serves around 1,450 to 2,500 students aged 3 to 18 from more than 100 nationalities, making it one of only two boarding schools in the UAE and the country's only Swiss-bilingual learning environment. Students follow the full International Baccalaureate continuum — the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, Diploma Programme, and Career-related Programme — through personalised English/French or English/German bilingual pathways, becoming an IB Continuum World School in 2018 and gaining CP authorisation in 2020.
SISD is rated among the top 100 private day and boarding schools in the world and is one of only 50 all-through IB World Schools globally.
