About University of Fujairah
The University of Fujairah (UoF) was established as Fujairah College in 2006, initiated by members of the Fujairah Welfare Association and led by its Board of Trustees chairman, His Excellency Saeed bin Mohammed Al Raqbani. It received its institutional license from the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) on April 1, 2006, and began teaching that September with two associate degrees in Business Administration and Information Technology.
On June 1, 2016, the CAA granted the institution full university status, and its academic affairs were restructured into four colleges: Business Administration, Mass Communication and Public Relations, Information Technology, and Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities, later expanding into Engineering, Nursing, and Law. UoF is a semi-government, non-profit institution located on Hamad Bin Abdulla Road in central Fujairah City, offering bachelor's and master's degrees to citizens and residents of the East Coast region.
UoF also operates a Centre for Continuing Education and Executive Development (CCEED), established in June 2007 to enrich the knowledge and skills of the wider Fujairah community. Programmes include the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Bachelor of Business Administration, addressing the region's growing demand for locally accessible, CAA-accredited higher education.
