Core documentation is consistent regardless of which spouse is sponsoring: a marriage certificate attested through the country of origin and then MOFA in the UAE (with a certified translation if it isn't already in Arabic or English), valid passports for both parties, the sponsor's Emirates ID, proof of accommodation through an Ejari tenancy contract or title deed, and a salary certificate or registered employment contract. The sponsored spouse's visa does not itself grant work authorisation; working requires a separate MOHRE or free-zone work permit issued under the existing spouse visa, which does not require switching to a different residency category first.
