Editorial Policy
This page explains how UAE Info Portal researches, writes, checks, updates and funds its content. It applies to our guides, calculators and tool explanations, and to the information pages on our business directory.
Who we are
UAE Info Portal is an independent website providing business, visa, employment, tax, property and everyday-living information for people in the UAE, together with free calculators and a business directory. We are not a government body, and we are not a law firm, tax agent, bank or licensed financial adviser.
How we research
- We base factual statements on official sources wherever possible: federal laws, decrees and Cabinet decisions; the Federal Tax Authority; the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE); the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) and GDRFA; the Central Bank; and emirate-level authorities such as the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and the Dubai Land Department.
- Where official sources are silent or unclear, we say so, explain what is commonly reported, and tell readers who to confirm with.
- We do not invent fees, legal article numbers, deadlines or statistics. Worked examples are labelled as examples.
How we check and update
- Guides are reviewed when a relevant law, fee or procedure changes, and periodically otherwise. Each guide shows when it was last updated.
- When rules change, we update the affected guides and calculators together, so that our tools and articles say the same thing.
- Calculators use the formulas and rates published by the relevant authority. Their results are estimates for planning and should be confirmed before acting.
Use of AI tools
We may use AI-assisted tools to help draft, summarise or check content. Every guide is reviewed against official sources before publication, and we remain responsible for its accuracy. We do not publish automatically generated pages without review.
Corrections
If you find an error, please email info@uaeinfoportal.com with the page link and, if possible, the official source. We review every report, correct confirmed errors promptly, and update the page's date when a correction changes its substance.
Independence, advertising and affiliate links
- Some pages contain affiliate links, for example to business software providers. If you buy through these links we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate pages are clearly labelled.
- Commissions do not change our explanations of laws, fees or procedures, and providers cannot pay to change our guides.
- Businesses can buy featured placement in the directory. Featured listings are labelled, and featured status does not affect verification badges.
- The site may display advertising. Advertisers have no influence over editorial content.
Business directory and verification badges
Directory listings may be created by business owners or from public information. A verification badge appears only when the specific check it describes has been completed, such as a confirmed contact or a reviewed trade licence. Unverified listings are marked as such. Sensitive documents provided for verification are kept private.
Reviews
Reviews are moderated before publication. We remove reviews that are abusive, irrelevant, contain personal data, or appear to be fake or written by someone with a conflict of interest. We do not accept payment to publish or remove reviews.
